Dudes, the Mets are five games under .500 and 9.5 games back, relax. Taking three of four from the Braves is nice but RELAX. The World Champions come to town now, let’s see how the Mets look on the other side of that, a Nats series and a West Coast swing before we start printing playoff tickets. Relax.
But the average fan and #MetsTwitter cannot relax. Everything goes from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in a heartbeat. At least two newspapers have the predictable “making a run” article (NOT LINKING)
Today is also Draft Day where the Mets will take some player you have never heard of, and Mets Twitter will debate if it was a good pick or not as if they have any idea what they’re talking about.
I noticed those completely unoriginal people over at one of the Amazing Apple Mets Insiderized Blogs not only ripped off the title Morning Briefing from Adam, they are also using Rapid Reaction. Fellas, can you at least TRY to come up with something original? If not, you might as well call your blog Adam Rubin’s Mets Blog erized. You can do better. Just try.
In other news, the USMNT with a big TIE last night in Mexico. Was a great two games for our boys, and nice to see the soccer team coming together. I hope you watched and enjoyed that game as much as I did.
