Update: the jerseys have returned although I don’t see a blank. Here’s this morning’s post
An interesting development at the MLB Shop –
yesterday it looked to me like there were all kinds of jerseys “for sale”* or I wouldn’t have gotten these screen caps of things like the Oh so cool “Harv” jersey.
This morning, none of those are posted. Only Thor. I don’t even seen a generic blank available.
I belong to the MLB Shop Affiliate program and I did get an email about the Mets ones being hot sellers – but really did they sell out of Robles and Tommy “Milone” Milone jerseys in one day? If they are such hot sellers wouldn’t they make more? The event isn’t for two and a half weeks.
In the past I have encountered Uni-corn jerseys like this to be “for sale” and then told they were “out of stock.” @mediagoon pointed out that from the get-go the blank Mets one was “hurry few left!”
I visited the Yankees and Pirates shops – and while they too don’t have everyone, they do have more than one player listed. The Mets only show Thor (in jerseys, you can get tons of tees).
So maybe they did sell out in one day? How many? Even the Rene Rivera one?
