WHY THE HELL IS JOSE REYES PLAYING AT ALL, NEVER MIND THE OUTFIELD? How does the help the team get better long-term? Anyway, Good ol’ Jose Reyes misplayed a ball out there BECAUSE HE’S NOT AN OUTFIELDER.
SLACKISH REACTION: I’m in a bad run of not seeing much Mets baseball due to life. Had plans last night (and again tonight). Got a very early update from the kid that “the Mets are trash” and that it was 5-1 or something. The 4th place Mets got killed by 10 runs.
I did put the TV on to check out Wayne for a batter or two and it sounded like he good chemistry with Ron. I did notice he sounded a lot more uptempo and energetic than the regular guy, who has settled in to a low speaking laid back.
Still no word on where the Mets games will be this weekend. Not sure why they are waiting to make this call. Clearly they won’t be in Houston.
