As i was googling around to refresh my memories of the 1990s Mets, I came across the note that the 1995 Mets finished ins second place?
Wait, what?
1995? A season in which nobody could think of anything to put on the yearbook cover? How could this be?
Oh yeah…1995, the year after baseball decided to stop playing. Now I remember.
The second place Mets went an impressive 69-75 and finished just 21 games out. Bobby Jones led the staff at 10-10.
At least they traded Bonilla and couldn’t possibly be stupid enough to ever bring that guy back to Queens.
