SLACKISH REACTION: Oh how exciting, there is actually Mets News to discuss this morning. Well not really news but at least articles to comment on.
I really don’t understand Mets fans. Every year there is a draft and everyone acts like they are draft expert. Then the Mets get a pick and every gets all excited. Then we spend a few years bashing the incumbent at the position and talking about how great The Pick is going to be once he gets here – but of course the prospect is kept in the minors because the Mets are cheap and stupid.
Eventually the kid comes up and then this happens……
NOT LINKING: the guys at the Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets BLOG must have seen that Original Mets Blog did a “who should the Mets get at 1B” article because they did a ME TOO ‘who should the Mets get at 1B article. My question to everyone is, “Why are we getting rid of 22 year old Dom Smith and upgrading one of the three or four positions where there are actual answers.” Let the kid play.
PROPOGANDA ALERT: The Newspaper that usually does the Mets propaganda for them has an article about how the best way the Mets can improve is by staying healthy. #TheNarrative is being laid in front of you. The Mets have already laid groundwork on how they won’t be spending any money, and now we can spin that to be part of a good plan. Also remember the Mets are focusing on defense in the age of Aaron Judge Superstar.
The newspaper points out that the JDG bobblehead will have his new shorter hair not the usual JDG flow. There has been so little Mets news I am actually excited about this as an item.
Look at that, actual Mets topics. Now I have to go, I have a soccer tournament all weekend and have to find some Generic Filler.
