For the past few years we’ve gotten a press release announcing the Mets would have some uniform tweak and that the uniforms would be on sale at the Mets Shop on Black Friday. Media Goon would usually leave the family Thanksgiving dinner around 1:30pm to go camp out to make sure he was first.
Since 2012 the Mets have more or less left the uniforms alone (all hail Kevin Kierst) and have just messed around with caps.
This year…no announcement yet…(unless of course Mets Media Relations Intern 5 didn’t send me the release. I’m still waiting to hear about the coaching staff Harold)….so are we safe to assume that what they wore in 2017 will be what they wear in 2018? I’m down with that.
Looking ahead…should they do a 1969-2019 patch? Do teams do that?
