So twitter lost its mind yesterday. ICYMI somehow, Sandy basically said…
- they have Nimmo so didn’t need Stanton
- middle relievers are expensive
- Conforto won’t be ready for Opening Day
- getting a SP is the 4th thing on a priority list of three
Now everyone calm down and I will stand by what I said yesterday. Play Dom and Amed, root for Jake and Thor, root for Yo……the Conforto thing isn’t working the way I hoped….it’s not a total disaster.
Meanwhile, consider that the Yankees need to turn their investment in Stanton into a quarter billion dollars to get back to where they were financially. That’s a lot of money.
On the fans front, lots of you are NEVER GOING TO CITI FIELD again. Please. When the Mets lose Opening Day and then run off four in a row and sweep the Phillies you will be all in and even considering driving down to Washington for the weekend. Stop with the boycott nonsense.
Meanwhile, as the Joker says, HA HA HA HA HA HA. The Next Seaver might be traded for middle relief.
“They are willing to move him,” one source said, “and they said they wanted to try and flip him for a reliever. They seemed more willing to move him then (Robert) Gsellman or (Seth) Lugo.” via the Daily News
Should be a fun few days in Metstropolis. The Next Seaver….please. Oh and you’re not boycotting anything so stop.
