SLACKISH REACTION: Pretty good NFL again yesterday (two weeks in a row) especially the end of Patriots-Steelers.
Six years ago today you would have woken up to the news that the stupid cheap Mets traded their Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey to the Blue Jays for prospects. After all, the Mets are cheap and stupid and definitely not going to pay a Cy Young Award winner what he deserves! (The trade happened on Dec 17th but I there’s no Mets news today)
2012 of course was another one of those seasons where every Mets fan was mad and I was being called a shill and nobody was ever going to Citi Field again until of course they did once they found something to hang their caps on.
All of this has happened before and will happen again. See you at Citi Field (well, I won’t, but that’s because I hate crossing the Hudson and probably have a soccer game, but that’s different reasoning than this boycott nonsense that comes back every 18 months).
