Some of the Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets Blog Reports have stolen Morning Briefing top to bottom, without even bothering to call it something else (that’s why I pick on you guys, I saw you were wondering – be original will ya?) – but the Morning Laziness is here to next level it. What I do is I quickly tell you what’s what, and the Not Linking section makes you conversant in what twitter will be discussing but saves you the trouble of reading things that just don’t matter in the end. The Syracuse Chiefs will change their name in 2019. Gov. Cuomo made people think that it would be to Mets, but the Chiefs GM won’t say what the name will be. Fun. So be leery of “…will become Syracuse Mets” headlines even on this very site -because I’m not sure they will. Maybe, but the GM’s comments make me wonder that they won’t give themselves a Canal Fairies or Jungle Copters type name. But can we save Scooch and Pops?!
Jeff Wilpon was at the State of the State, so if you are on of those hardcore Wilpon boycotters you will have to vote Republican next time around.
Speaking of Hardcore Wilpon Boycotters, the Citi Field Winter Classic was the lowest rated Winter Classic ever. I can only assume the boycotters stuck to their guns and punished NBC and the NHL for being Wilpon supporters. Good job boycotters!
And Wilpon Boycotter, you need to read this piece in the Miami Herald that will explain baseball finances to you. The Wilpons will be fine no matter how many hot dogs you don’t buy.
