Do a google on Cubs Con to see what the possibilities are. That one is in its 33rd year and the Cubs are all in. The Red Sox are all in on theirs too.
SLACKISH REACTION: There s extra nothing today. Thor didn’t tweet. The guys at the Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets Blog Report aren’t floating any new players the Mets COULD sign. I have cut off the negative people from my feed (you should too, it is life changing).
MLK DAY: I feel like as a nation we haven;t figured this one out. There has always been this weirdness of it almost being a national holiday – my wife had to work, I kind of have a few calls I have to do – and then the bigger question of what we’re supposed to do to observe the day. Gather somewhere? Pray? Other than remembering Dr. King, what’s the “it” today. Presidents Day is kind of the same except that one has entrenched with the the everyone’s off-ness that today doesn’t have yet. Also, I do feel it gets lost in the rhythm of everyone was just off for a week. I’d like to see us as a nation do more with this holiday, but I’m not sure what that would be.
