DID THE METS GET ANY NEW PLAYERS? They officially got Todd Frazier but we all knew that. It was kind of weird in that they announced it and then had the press conference like 90 minutes later. I thought Todd is FROM TOMS RIVER (obligatory fact, you have to mention that EVERY TIME or you get a note from the Mets Blogger Alliance. You also have to mention he played in the Little League World Series, which as you know is a ridiculous tournament of All Star teams in which kids play way too many innings at a young age so that we can have a TV show, but I digress.)
It was nice to hear that Sandy and Jeff checked in with David Wright before making this move.

THE NARRATIVE: After a winter of RAGE and anger and how cheap the Wilpons are and nobody will ever go to a game again, now the MSM is using words like “opportunistic” and even smart. Seems the Mets have done well in this cold stove market. At least that’s today’s narrative.
Here’s an article in USA Today about the new home field club that isn’t for you Mr. Regular Fan. The club, not the article. I mean if you want to pay $329 to $779 for a seat you can go nuts. I can’t imagine how much disposable income I would have to have to even consider that. There probably is no such amount. If I had it I wouldn’t spend it on a baseball game.

Speaking of uniform stuff – there was lots of random stuff yesterday that caught my eye (and potentially my wallet) including DEVIL Rays throwbacks, Marlns throwbacks, gold Astros stuff, a cool Tigers cap and a Cleveland Whities cap. All that is covered here.
Then I remembered that jersey price creep is now $130 for a replica and caps are $40 or more now and thus I put my wallet away. See what you’ve done MLB? Now I buy none. You got greedy.
