Look we all love David, but he’s never playing again.
The Mets say that David Wright was re-examined Monday by Dr. Watkins in Los Angeles. Shoulder and lower back issues persist. No baseball activity for eight weeks.

8 weeks is May 13th. On that morning David wakes up and feels great. He resumes baseball activities. By June 1 he is hitting the cage. Looks great. Takes some extended spring training or whatever they do. We start to hear “All Star Break.” David starts for the Cyclones on a Sunday afternoon. T-shirt people everywhere flock to see him.
The Mets have a long road trip in June so the Mets send DW to Binghamton for home games.
Finally on June 22, David returns and starts at home vs LA.
And that’s your best fantasyland scenario.
Sucks.
