Mets Police Morning Laziness: the One True Ace keeps Mets in 1st

SLACKISH REACTION:  Don’t ask me, you know I am not watching a 10pm start.  I did peek at some of it, and was up until like 11:15 but honestly the Andre the Giant doc on HBO was way more compelling.

I can read a boxscore however, and The One True Ace (TM) did his thing.   Good thing because if Mickey strategically blew Thor Day and Jake Day into the mess that has been 3-4-5 it could get ugly around here….here look….

Seems like I missed an episode of The Dark Knight Sucks where Matt gave up a home run.

Today, the game is on your TV at 8:40pm.  Someone named Jason Vargas claims to be the Mets SP.

But that’s not what’s important, what’s important is today is Opening Day!  A very late in the year Opening Day but Opening Day!  Opening Day of what?  Opening Day of Better Than Wright’s  Deck 2.0

As there are some new readers this season let me catch you up.  I watch most games outside on my deck.  A few years back there was a newspaper article about David Wright’s deck (I can’t find it) and I thought mine was nicer, so mine became “Better Than Wright’s.”

Then one winters day a few years back, the one winter with all that snow…my deck collapsed!!!!!

Fortunately I have insurance and redid the whole place and now it’s even better!   So if you see me reference Better Than Wright’s Deck 2.0 or BTWD2 that’s what this is about. It isn’t a shot at actual DW (and I believe he has since moved.)   So hopefully I will be coming to you from poolside on BTWD very soon.

Matt Harvey also seems to have a deck or  terrace or something, or at least pretends to when paid to do commercials.
