Kevin Plawecki will play first tomorrow, Mickey Callaway said. Adding Jose Lobaton allows the Mets additional flexibility with that and pinch-hitting Plawecki/Mesoraco.

Plawecki did play 2 games at 1B in 2017, including a start, for a total of 17 innings. Also since we had 40 practice games this spring I am sure Mickey got him reps there. Dom Smith says hi and is sorry he was late.

So..PAY ATTENTION FOLKS….
Did you watch last night? Did you see Mesaraco (is that how he spells his name, it’s been a month you ‘d think ‘d learn and no I am not looking it up it’s more fun this way) did you see him get hit in the head with a bat? Did yo hear Ronnie say he was missing pitches with his glove?
And then the Mets bring up a third catcher because they have too many pitchers and a totally rested bullpen right?
Come on. I am calling this one now.
The Mets though are the Mets so they are starting Mesaraco (I looked it up now, whew I got it right) so they can make sure he winds up on the DL.
Anyway back to Mickey – you’re all gonna come around to my originally unpopular side. This guy is in over his head and the Mets should eat the $4M (my guess, I haven’t seen real numbers) before they give another generation to the Yankees and waste the summer. Even GKR are starting to notice. You’ll come around, you always do. In the meantime call me a cranky old man who is “too negative.” I’ll be here when you’re ready.
Oh and there is word they might not start Thor on Wednesday because then he can’t face the Yankees and the Mets seem to think some wins count more than other wins. Dumbasses.
