Friday Night in Pittsburgh and Rip Tide is on the mound for the Reds.
In the first, TDK looked pretty sharp. Even hit 96. 1-2-3.
In the second my man Matt was hitting 96 again but then he walked off the leadoff hitter and started to look sad. It’s never good when Matt is sad. Would TDK escape, or melt down once again?
And then a walk…and a hit…bases loaded NONE OUT
Matt got a DP, but a run scored. The next guy flew out. 1-0 and could have been much much worse. End 2.
The third inning went smoothly for Matt.
In the 4th the leadoff hitter got on while I went to get a snack but the runner was caught trying o steal 2nd.
A scary moment in the 5th…
and the third out was but of a deep fly too…
And that was it. The Reds hooked him after 5 but not bad. 5 innings, 1 run, 4 hits, 2 walks, 2 Ks.
Not bad Matt. Go tear up Pittsburgh.
