Mets Roster Moves: Bashlor In, Flexen Out

This is starting to become a daily occurrence. The Mets made a roster move before tonight’s series opener. Maybe we finally know the identity of the above drawing, is it Tyler Bashlor?

 

In other news, I’m shocked that the Mets tweeted this out without some video clip or GIF of the promotion. Not even an embedded image. If only they could do this with the lineups….


 

ROSTER MOVE:  Prior to tonight’s game, the Mets will recall RHP Tyler Bashlor from Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League… Bashlor will wear #49…RHP Chris Flexen will be optioned to Las Vegas (AAA)…Bashlor’s first appearance will be his major league debut…Bashlor, 25, was 0-3 with seven saves and a 2.63 ERA (seven earned runs/24.0 innings) in 20 games…He has issued 12 walks and struck out 30…Bashlor is 7-9 with 23 saves and a 3.29 ERA (53 earned runs/145.0 innings) in 117 career minor league games…The 6-0, 194-pounder was the Mets 11th-round pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft.
