I was in my closet and I saw my San Diego All Star Game Murph jersey and it left me underwhelmed. So I thought I’d take a look back at some recent ASG jeserys, using images I had already uploaded in past posts (I am lazy). By All Star Game jerseys I mean the American/National stuff, which they obviously do not wear in the actual game.
Starting with this year…we haven’t yet seen tis on any humans, but I guess it looks nice.
And if you compare the above to the below….the above is wayyyy better.
These San Diego ones have not aged well at all. I like what they tried to do, but it doesn’t look good. This is a hard one to wear as civilian-wear. I suspect that if I wait long enough and break this out as a Random Jersey (the kind that makes people go, wow that guy is wearing a random an Diego ASG jersey from 15 years ago) it will age well, but right now this is at the end of the jersey rotation.
The New York ones I don’t love the front font as it seems a bit crowded, but on actual players, looks great!
These Royals ones were good too. Nice clean look and the font works on this one.
