Mets Police Morning Laziness: Thanks, Folks!

Well, we’ve come to the end of a very exciting week here at Mets Police. Later today, Shannon returns from his well-deserved vacation, and regularly scheduled programing returns to the blog.

As a longtime reader of Mets Police, I wrote about what I’ve grown to enjoy reading about on this blog, and I hope that translated onto the articles that I published this week.

SLACKISH REACTION: Anyway, as I pack my bags outta here (Scully not Sterling) the Mets too are packing as they begin their roadtrip, starting tonight in Miami at 7:10, and if it wasn’t for Jacob deGrom, I would have absolutely no interest in it.

The Marlins will have a rising prospect on the hill, which will be noteworthy. Sandy Alcantara, making his major league debut, touted to be the first prospect from the Derek Jeter era (he was traded for Ozuna this past Winter).

It’s a shame no one will be at Marlins Park to watch, which is hard to believe, considering how cheap a ticket plan is there (comes out to about $2 per game):

ICYMI….

Take a minute and dive into this Must Read (there’s some anti-Jeff stuff).

Go see the Mike Piazza 9/11 Jersey at the September 11 Memorial (Now Open!).
