How did Matt Harvey do Saturday Night vs the Asdrubal Cabrera’s Phillies? You’ll look.

The Dark Knight Returned to the Cincinnati mound one last time before the trade deadline would set him free from dating Jenny the Waffle Hut waitress.

But, would this turn out to be like Community where our Wingman discovered he had accidentally found a home in a place he didn’t want to be?

Hell no  The Real Deal can’t wait for Cashman to call back so he can get the hell out of suburban Kentucky and back to the Big Apple where he can get late night burritos and bang models after Rangers games.  So let’s see how Matty Baseball did…

The scouts were there and they were excited!

And TDK did not disappoint!  A 1-2-3 inning with 2Ks including this 98MPH gem!

In the second, with one out…hey look who TDK is facing!

And…

Sit down Cabby  And TDK wasn’t done striking people out, as he got the next guy and had 4Ks through two perfect innings.  Someone wants the fuck out of Cincinnati.

The third? Uneventful. The pitcher made Matty Baseball throw a bunch of pitches which upped his pitch count, but TDK is perfect through three.

Into the fourth, a leadoff walk.  Matt never deals well with a diversity.  And as Adam Rubin  might say….OH NO

A home run! Then a walk! Then a visit from the pitching coach!!

2-1 end of 4.

A stressful 5th…a double…

…but all would be OK in the end.  Whew.

2 runs, 2 hits through 5.  94 or so pitches.  Would The Dark Knight Return for the 6th, or had we seen the last of Matty Cincinnati?

Well…the stupid Reds loaded the bases and Matt’s turn came up and….they batted for him with Dilson Herrera of all people.  So no standing O farewell for TDK, and just like that Harvey Days had come to an end in Cincinnati.

And to all a Good Knight.

Next stop ?????
