Mets announce 2019 Schedule, will honor 1969 Mets

FINALLY a weekend series in Chicago in the middle of the summer.  I’m in.

 

FLUSHING, N.Y., August 22, 2018 – The New York Mets announced that the club will open the 2019 regular season on the road at NL East rival the Washington Nationals on Thursday, March 28. After a six-game game road trip against Washington and Miami, the Home Opener will be on Thursday, April 4 vs. the Nationals.

 

Highlights of the 2019 home schedule include:

 

  • St. Louis Cardinals                  Thursday, June 13-Sunday, June 16 (Father’s Day)
  • Subway Series vs. Yankees   Tuesday, July 2-Wednesday, July 3
  • Los Angeles Dodgers             Friday, September 13-Sunday, September 15

Additional Interleague series at Citi Field include:

  • Minnesota Twins                     Tuesday, April 9-Wednesday, April 10
  • Detroit Tigers                          Friday, May 24-Sunday, May 26
  • Cleveland Indians                   Tuesday, August 20-Thursday, August 22

 

Promotional details for the 2019 season, including a 50th Anniversary celebration of the 1969 World Champions, will be announced in the weeks ahead.
