SLACKISH REACTION: Decent afternoon of NFL Red Zone, and I am not sure why the Red Bulls played Sunday at 1pm – there is a lot of competition Sunday at 1 there Red Bulls, including any kid who is serious about soccer probably had a travel game. Oh yeah that Jacob deGrom guy pitched for the Mets and of course did not win.
Other than that….not much going on. People are starting their “Top 10 David Wright Moments” columns a little early, the guys at the AAIMBR couldn’t come up with anything other than telling us the SP (Wheeler) and opponent (Phillies) and I haven’t watched a game since Thursday and won’t watch tonight either (even I have to work sometimes) so there isn’t anything to talk about.
I do increasingly see this nonsense that the Mets are playing better. The Mets are 69-80 which means they’ve played 21 games under .500 since the fluke start. The division has been playing .500ish and the Mets are still 14 back – it’s not like they even made “a run” to get to 8 back or something. Just an awful season.
