Well the Mets haven’t sent me a press release or anything but fortunately Tom Healey is on the case! Hey @mets any time you want to let the people know so they can plan their lives let me know I will be happy to share the info.
Update: on the telecast Gary Cohen said DW will play a few innings and then hit the SNY booth in uniform, then return downstairs for a post-game ceremony. Still no word from the actual Mets as of 9:28pm Friday night…but why let fans plan their lives?
Gonna be a long night. Dress warm!
Some things about David Wright Day tomorrow:
—Gates open at 4:30 p.m. so fans can watch BP
—Wright will get a couple of at-bats and exit; he won’t play the whole game
—There’s expected to be a postgame tribute/ceremony
—Game will be on SNY *and* PIX11
