The Mets want you to know about Thursday’s Steven Matz bowling event

My friends the Mets sent me some information to share with you.

Now, Mets Police readers know I already told you about this last week because I pay attention to things and don’t just write about Alonso HRs and give out grades for the 2018 season like the AAIMBR does,  but if my friends the Mets want me to post it again, I will.

New York Mets LHP Steven Matz will hold TRU32’s “Strikes with Steven” on Thursday, November 8 at Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square. TRU32 honors first responders – FDNY, NYPD and US Military. A bowling team comprised of FDNY members will compete against a bowling team from the NYPD. Money raised from this event will go to fund scholarships for children of New York City first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty.

First responders hold a close place to Steven Matz’s heart. The mission of the program is to say thank you to the NYPD, FDNY and US Military. At select Mets home games, Matz invites 32 (his uniform number) heroes to meet him and enjoy a game with terrific seats. As well as raising awareness for the sacrifices of these brave men and women, TRU32 funds scholarships for children of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty.
