SLACKISH REACTION: I played a lot of Red Dead Online. Man that map is huge. At one point I found myself, no joke, over an hour’s ride from my camp. And I mean an hour of real life time. Very addicting calm game so far…I find my brain totally turned off which is what I am looking for.
At night I watched Rocky V and Rocky Balboa. 5 isn’t as bad as you remember, and is kinda sorta a prototypical Creed. You can see what Stallone was trying to do but it just kinda missed. Balboa is perfect. It hits all the emotional beats and is the genesis of “whoa Stallone can act…” that you see in Creed. The fight is really well done, and the walk-off hits the right note. Watch this one.
Updated Rocky Rankings: (Top Tier) Rocky, III, Creed, Balboa. (Gap to lower tier) IV, V, and Rocky II last. Whoa, Rocky II last? Yeah. Tell me something memorable about that film. It is the Jaws II of the series. At least 5 is trying to do something.
I have not seen Creed II so it is unranked. I don’t leave my house, have Amazon send me a Blu-Ray.
