WAGS IS NOT SERIOUS: The Mets acquired Keon Broxton. WHO? Well lets look via Baseball Reference.
Now let me inflame you with what Wags said…
“Keon is a dynamic athlete with the ability to impact the game in the outfield, on the bases and with his bat,” Brodie Van Wagenen said in a statement. “He adds depth to our major league roster for 2019 and into the future.”
That comes to you from NorthJersey.com because the Mets Media Relations Department once again didn’t send me the release. Wait until they find out who is hosting the Meet The Mets Executives Panel at QBC19….I will be asking about this in front of several hundred people.
As for “into the future” – BROXTON TURNS 29 IN MAY.
This is not legit major league depth. This is not a prospect. This is nonsense.
Yesterday, I quickly shared the story of the Mets Ticket Rep trying to guilt someone into buying tickets. Yahoo has picked up on the story.
This guy has you and the Wilpons fooled by some nice suits.
SLACKISH REACTION: Man, another caper this morning. I was actually up and was gonna work on the blog and then my phone rang. I’m gonna have to put my head down this afternoon and pre-write the week as I see the Blogging Gods keep throwing me curves.

Meanwhile, on the couch….
FIOS: so as part of my cutting the cord, I had to return the boxes. Fios didn’t send me the return label in the shipment boxes. So I went on line….and the returns page isn’t working! So I called, while simultaneously chatting with an AI bot, while simultaneously tweeting their help desk. I wound up on hold for half an hour and the live person said he’s send me label, didn’t, and ended the call (not in a rude way but didn’t listen to me when I asked him to stay on the line.) Twitter person was nice but in the end couldn’t help. Finally I asked the AI Chatbot for a human…and half an hour later got a human. Are you kidding with this?
Anyway as I disconnected the boxes, and once again thought about the difference in price between my old Fios setup and my new YouTube TV setup….I was also struck by how we’ve gone from these big giant cable boxes and all these wires to basically a thumb drive. That old cable model seems really insane for 2019. Never mind the price insanity….all that equipment….which I was “renting” for $90 a month. Insane.
