The Mets are going to build a Seaver statue (even if they are pretending they had planned to do this all along, the evidence they weren’t is that the statue won’t be ready this year – when is the 50th anniversary of 1969 again? Could we have predicted this? Who knew?). Anyway it’s good so let’s move on.
The Mets are also getting 126th street renamed to Tom Seaver Way. I am not sure the Way part is actually official, but that seems to be what everyone is referring to it as. Anyway, it will be Tom Seaver something.
SLACKISH REACTION: all the above is great!

Hey, you know how Pete Alonso is totally making the team, right? I mean that’s what I keep reading on the other sites. Well, I sure is odd that the Post has this “JD Davis is playing well” article today. You know where Davis plays, right?
Baseball Operations Expert Jessica Mendoza will work out of California, which is where the Mets play.
Here’s some of the food you will see at Citi Field in 2019. Thanks to the Mets for inviting me to this.
The Mets added season ticket holder names to the dugouts.
I was ready to run Gare out of town after another great Wayne call, but then Wayne trackwalled one.
