Interesting read here from Tim Britton…

Well, he’s right. There’s really no reason for the Mets to make this trip other than it’s waxing someone in Syracuse’s car. They are going to go all that way for a half-assed workout that nobody wants part of, and the media will be pissy that THEY have to go, which will throw kerosene on the issue.
Normally I don’t want to hear it about MLB Travel – looking ahead to next week they can already STFU with the Miami night game before the home opener – but for the unnecessary workout in the middle of nowhere, Thor is right.
Thor is also right about this…
Syndergaard also thinks the Mets should “quit all the fuss and pay the man” when it comes to deGrom. pic.twitter.com/sq3276WroX

Yep. Let’s keep JDG here. If it made sense to his agent last summer it should make sense to his ex-agent now.
Preach Thor, preach.
Also I love this fun-fact…
Noah Syndergaard is the only Mets starting pitcher to win a World Series game in the last 32 years. https://t.co/LKegSEH4Fe
