Mets Police Morning Laziness: Thor mad, Mickey self-watches

SLACKISH REACTION:  what a nice night.  I actually watched night baseball on the deck for the first time all season.  Good to have Ronnie back (his voice understandably a tad thin).  Thor was mad at Mickey!  Mickey was mad at Mickey!

“I was a bit surprised,” Syndergaard said, when asked about his removal. “But in that moment, the heat of competition and the will to go out there and complete the inning I got a little fired up and frustrated, but that subsided and that was kind of a stinger of a game.” (via NY Post)

MICKEY WATCH WATCH: Mickey Callaway called an impromptu postgame meeting with his players and blamed himself Tuesday night. (via NY Post)

I may upgrade the Mickey Watch Watch to a Mickey Watch depending on tonight’s result.  Fortunately for Mickey, his most reliable starter goes tonight!

OK – Gary needs to ever say Thunder Pete again.  Luckily, Gary was much better on the next home run call.

Matt Harvey seems confused and isolated.

I did!  I stopped actively watching after 7, even though it was tied because after all baseball is boring, so I logged off twitter and rested my eyes.   I sort of heard Gary say something about the Mets losing and fumbled for the remote.

I wonder if Jeff wakes up and realized he FUBAR’d the GM hire and screwed up the manager hire.  This team is going to be in the wilderness for a lonnnng time, as we reach the end of the era of the Five Aces that was supposed to be the payoff.
