Now that the Mets have lost seven straight, are 10 games below five hundred, and over a dozen games out of first place, the ballpark and non-game experience is shining at it’s brightest.
From what I heard online, the Mets did an exceptional job with the 1969 Reunion ceremony, and it looks like most who could attend did.
For those that didn’t go, and want to see what I’m talking about, the Mets have put the video tribute and highlights that they showed at the ballpark on their website and social channels.
After the car parade and Howie’s opening decrees, all of the 1969 Mets came on to the field, to a huge applause, and shook hands with the current Mets.

You could tell this meant so much to Howie Rose, it made the presentation of the players that much better. Again, job well done all around.
To round things out, Tom Seaver’s family threw out the first pitch, which was a very nice and fitting touch.
