Every day the Mets have to make up a position for him to play because some idiot brought in someone to play 2B for the next 4.5 seasons. I guess you could stick him at 3B after we trade Todd and some rocks for some team’s best prospect.

Pete Alonso. Yeah I get it. He hits home runs. We want him to set the club record so we can sell some t-shirts in September. I get it.
Meanwhile Dom Smith just turned 24 and is hitting .287 with 8 HRs as I write this (and I think the big home run from this afternoon was his 9th and the stats website hasn’t updated yet, Regardless…) Dom could play 1B. Sure it’s less exciting than a Polar Bear and all that….but what might the Polar Bear bring back?
