Wags wrote a nice letter to Mets fans. Really. Like even I didn’t make fun of it.
I will point out that the Wags letter used the very popular Pete Alonso format. You may recall that Pete woke up the day game after a night game and penned a letter and saved it as an attachment (just like Wags did). Some even think the language is similar to the 2014 Mets Loyalty Oath and that maybe Pete didn’t actually write it, but those people are jerks who do not believe in Santa.
I like this one a lot. A local baseball manager thinks his team has all the right personnel to make the payoffs. Now…let’s say the Mets don’t make the playoffs, that would suggest the personnel had been mis-managed, right?
Let’s check in on The Fake Pennant Race! The Mets, who haven’t lost in a week are STILL two games under .500, but I am sure they will have a two week winning streak. They are 4 games back.
One of the teams the Mets need to pass is the Phillies. Jason Vargas gets he start today!
SLACKISH REACTION: I didn’t see much of yesterday because playing weekday daytime baseball is idiotic. I can tell you that I am getting attacked for all my “negativity” so fans are excited again. I predict Comedians will be making Mets Videos again very very soon. I also predict that in three weeks when the Mets announce the 2020 ticket packages an the prices go up and the short plans get eliminated that the same people who say I am negative will be starting boycotts.
