Not much to tell you about this one. Gil is letting Shamsky rot on the bench and Jim Merritt’s complete game was better than Jim McAndrew’s complete game. A nice tight two hour and two minute game, the way baseball is meant to be played.
Keep an eye on Pete Rose..he has like 1200 hits already. Too bad he’s already 28…but I could see him getting 2500 or so before he retires in his mid 30’s. Nice player.
NINE back now, but keep kidding yourself that the Mets are in a pennant race.
