Anyway, the Mets lost. I guess Jeff McNeil is actually the MVP? Speaking of which – Fernando Tatis Jr. is likely out for the year which pretty much guarantees that Mr. Polar Bear will be the Rookie of the Year.
The Mets are two games out of the Wild Card and play on WPIX at 7:15. GARY APPLE has the call!
There was lots of chatter again about Gary Apple, and I will do another twitter recap post shortly – but Keith/Apple was wayyy better than Ron/Apple. Keith brings the danger and is always entertaining so it helped me stay awake all the way to the end. Plus The Energy Vampire was off so I didn’t get my usual third inning wave of sleepiness. I don’t know why SNY even pays for that position. Justine Ward, who should have that job, popped on and said like two sentences. Was that even worth her flight and hotel? No. It never is.
There’s nothing else to tell you about. The Mets lost a baseball game. People are already starting to get crazy again. The winning streak age us back August and probably half of September. Be thankful.
