Sky is Falling: Hey MLB and Mets even the die-est of diehards don’t wanna buy tickets

I know I suck and am the worst and don’t go to games, but if you scroll down @mediagoon’s twitter feed you will see a discussion about not renewing ticket plans!

What?  But the Mets are in the pennant race!   Pete Alonso!   We have five aces!.  Everything is wonderful.

Of course there is netting, security, you can’t bring a backpack, four hour games, lines and a million other reasons someone might not want to attend games.

I will let Goon and the folks make their own cases, but this is very interesting.  It’s like losing Cronkite because The Goon loves buying tickets.  Don’t worry he’ll still buy t-shirt tickets from TTSG and may even get some standing room passes….but this is not a good sign.  You lost me, now you are losing the Goon, and the 15 year olds do not care about your sport at all.  It’s probably really smart to invest in the Overwatch League.

UPDATE:  In a Must Read, the @mediagoon has written a pretty good post laying out the case.  Visit Van Hagar for that.  There’s only one way….to blog.
