Mets Police Morning Laziness: Lyin’ Todd Frazier grinds the Mets season to an end. Sad.

The Mets are 4.5 games out of the Wild Card with 8 to play.  Sure looks like we’re gonna get to the predicted end where we had two extra months of watchable TV and wound up 5 out and with no farm system.

SLACKISH REACTION:  and how watchable is it, really?   I mean I was watching it out on the deck, and then my new super fast wireless router came (now I can blog at high speeds!) so I started installing that and then I went back to the game and it had ended.  I had no idea what happened….

…but I went on with my life and watched some Dr. Who (I am only 14 years late on this) and got up this morning and googled Mets and I see…

The Mets third baseman believed the grounder Aristides Aquino hit to him near the bag in the first inning was foul and delayed in his throw to first base. Aquino was safe for an RBI single that gave the Reds their first run in a 3-2 victory.

“I assumed, and you are not supposed to assume in baseball,” Frazier said. “I made a boneheaded mistake.”

Only exacerbating matters, Frazier had booted Eugenio Suarez’s grounder for an error in the previous at-bat, allowing the Reds to load the bases. (via NY Post)

The weird part is Andy Martino probably can’t figure out why you don’t like admitted liar The Toddfather.

A reminder that it’s a Sunshine Day out there.  High 80s.  Don’t spend your life in front of a television.  Go outside and do something.  You can sit inside and watch Mets-Marlins all week.  Enjoy the warm weather while you have it.  The Mets aren’t really making the playoffs…admit this to yourself and enjoy a Sunny Sunday.
