Adam Rubin reports that the Ducks General Manager ordered Matt Harvey sent to the bullpen but was overruled by ownership who said, “look, if we move Matt to the bullpen then we have no filler content. He stays in the rotation.”
Virtual Bloggers everywhere are outraged. There are calls to “transfer control of Franchise mode!” But the owner doesn’t care, so Harvey stays and Daniel Mengden can be the long reliever.
But on to pretend baseball and today’s matchup.
TDK looks like he’s focused.
And he got it done!
He had a rocky first with two men on but he got out of it. From there, a total cruise except for a meaningless 2 out triple in the 6th came around to score.
Melvin played it safe before the meltdown and got him out.
Matt wins to take his record to 5 and 6.
