Playing almost his entire 21-year career in Pittsburgh during the dead-ball era, Wagner excelled in every aspect of the game, hitting for average and power, speed on the basepaths, and a quick, accurate glove in the field.
During the first decade of the 20th century, The Flying Dutchmen led the majors in hits, runs, doubles, total bases, extra-base hits, runs batted in, stolen bases, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage!
100 years after he played his final game, Wagner is stil in the top 10 all-time for hits (8th), doubles (10th), triples (3rd), and stolen bases (10th). For those who like newer stats, his career WAR of 130.8 ranks 10th all-time
