As soon as a runner makes it to first base – GO TO THE BULLPEN. I mean it. One runner on first, get him out.
If he makes it through 5 innings call it a day and GO TO THE BULLPEN.
He cannot pitch from the stretch. He cannot pitch out of trouble. He will give up a ton of 385 foot fly balls.
