Will MLB sacrifice the Marlins and add a Mets-Yankees doubleheader on Thursday?

As I write this, the weekend games vs. the Yankees are still on – and let me couch this entire post with “What Do I Know Anyway?” – but….

From what we’ve seen so far, teams don’t postpone two games and start playing.  I am guessing that the entire Yankees series gets wiped.

The Mets are off Monday then host the Marlins for three.  Now if you just went through a COVID scare while playing the Marlins, do you want to see the Marlins again?  I wouldn’t.  Those games are Tues-Wed-Thurs.

Meanwhile the Yankees play at Atlanta then are scheduled to be off Thursday.

Now how about this….

MLB wipes the Marlins series and schedules a doubleheader Thursday to make up two Yankees-Mets games.  The Yankees will have had three days off this weekend so they really can’t complain…plus it is 2020 shut up.

If you’re SNY would you rather the Marlins or the Yankees?

If you’re YES would you rather nothing or the Mets?

AND as for the Marlins?  Who cares.  They have few fans and no stars.  This creeps their schedule a little more toward not playing enough games to qualify for the postseason (a rule MLB should make crystal clear like five minutes ago before it becomes a problem.)  Do you think the TV networks want the Marlins in the postseason?  There are no fans to worry about?  Feed the Marlins to the wolves and let’s make some money.

That’s how I see the week playing out, but again, what do I know?
