Now, thanks to analytics, precise numbers can be wrung from the data: “30 degrees of temperature is worth about 1.3 runs per game — split between both teams, of course. That means that a 100 degree day sees roughly 2.5 more runs than a 40 degree day,” wrote Jeff Long of Baseball Prospectus. (via WaPo)
