The Long Con ends: Uncle Steve2 “Baron” Cohen cleans house

Farewell Sawyer meme.

Well there’s this..

and this

So I’m not such a monster that I don’t feel bad for people who lose their gigs – but I don’t feel that bad when someone will still get paid like $5 million, and might wind up welcomed back to The Agency with open arms, or maybe even a TV gig as TV does like handsome fellows.

But the important thing is that Baron Cohen is trying to end Loserisms.  I saw my fiend Jason Fry tweet that the Brodie era couldn’t be judged.  Yes it can Jase – he was a loser.  Two seasons, zero playoffs.   Loser.  Bye bye.

The choice of words of “leaving” is nice spin.  The last time I was fired they asked me if I wanted to do the “leaving to pursue other opportunities” thing – I said no, you are firing me.  I’m not playing nice so you don’t look like jerks.  (FWIW five different people had my gig in the next year, so maybe I wasn’t that bad at it.)

Farewell Wags memes. Hello possible Bobby Axelrod memes.

I am happy to see Sandy Alderson return of President Of Everything (not sure what his title is, the Mets were way too busy today to send me the press release) – so it looks like Uncle Steve2 will go make money and let BASEBALL PEOPLE RUN BASEBALL.   Wow, imagine that.  We’re not going to let an agent run things.  Or let a real estate guy’s idiot son run things.  Baseball People.  Progress.

So so far I will give the Baron Cohen era an 8 out of 10.  I am taking two points off for

SEND ME THE PRESS RELEASES GUYS!!!

Anyway I have to play nice.  I don’t know if the new regime likes bloggers or not.  One thing about the Wilpons – I could call them sons of guns every single day but I still would get credentialed if I asked and got most of the press releases.  Sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don’t – and this one I don’t.  But so far, so good.  END THE LOSER CULTURE!!!!!!
