Welcome major addition to the Mets Aaron Loup.
Loup had a WAR of 0.5 in 2020, which is MORE WAR than Pete Alonso’s measly 0.3, so clearly this is a MAJOR ADDITION.
(Millennials love WAR until I do things like this. Then suddenly WAR doesn’t count. It only counts when Daniel Murphy is involved.)
For you older folks who like REAL STATS he was 302 with a 2.52 ERA. He’s a pitcher of some sort and is 33 years old and apparently has played 9 YEARS IN BASEBALL WITHOUT ME NOTICING HE EXISTED.
Anyway he becomes at worst my 22nd favorite Mets player, ahead of Vulgar Pete, The Big Zero and Trevor Bauer.
