The Mets waited until after 6pm to rain out tonight’s game which really sucks if you made a trip.
I’m guessing that they didn’t want to listen to The Big Zero it there was a rain delay.
Clearly it’s gonna rain but seems like they could play later.

Postponed Game Rescheduled as Part of a Single Admission Doubleheader

FLUSHING, N.Y., May 26, 2021 – The New York Mets have announced that tonight’s game against the Colorado Rockies has been postponed due to inclement weather. It will be rescheduled as part of a single admission doubleheader, tomorrow, Thursday, May 27 at 12:10 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Both games will be seven-inning contests. Tickets for tonight’s game will NOT be valid for admission to tomorrow’s doubleheader.

Now what’s interesting about this is – weekday day games are stupid to begin with, with the excuse being that teams need to travel. The Rockies are heading to Pittsburgh, a 95 minute flight. But now everyone is ok with the Rockies sticking around later. They will be so tired Friday. Waaaah.
The Mets also don’t seem to understand they don’t have enough arms to play two games in one day.
