A respected colleague of mine isn’t enthusiastic of my use of “swoosh” to describe these, as swoosh is usually associated with Nike, but my buddy Osh41 (the Chuck Berry of Mets Police, I stole all his riffs and added some Brian Wilson magic to them) has always referred to them as Swoosh Jerseys going back to the beginning.
We always hated the home jersey…
…and they still look terrible, although writing this post makes me want to bust mine out…..
…but the road ones have grown on me over the years. NOW LISTEN TO ME STEVE THE UNIFORM SET BETWEEN 2012 and 2020 WAS PERFECT BEFORE SOME IDIOT BROUGHT THE BLACK BACK…SO I AM IN NO WAY SUGGESTING YOU MESS WITH THE ROAD UNIFORM…….
