Mets Police sources tell us that Yoenis Cespdes and Bartolo Colon will be among the Mets attending Old Timers’ Day on August 27th.
Other Mets expected to attend include Keith Hernandez, John Santana who will throw 137 pitches because what could go wrong and Daniel Murphy!
Cespedes is 36. Murph is 37. Robinson Cano is 39.
While I appreciate the Mets finally celebrating team history, August 27th is a terrible date as it is one of the last Beach Weekends, and such a thing should not be wasted on baseball. Have this in May guys.
