Here’s what ya wanna know.
An MRI scan taken Monday of deGrom’s right shoulder revealed “considerable healing of the stress reaction on his scapula,” according to a team release. Mets doctors cleared deGrom “to begin loading and strengthening of the shoulder,” which he must do before he begins throwing. (via MLB.com)
That reports floats a timetable which, IMHO seems verrrrrry optimistic to me, in which deGrom is back in mid-June. The Mets have a 4.5 game lead. There is no reason to rush this at all.
….
So I woke up to a text from my son asking about the 9th inning.
I was watching the Scherzer part of the game but once he left the complete lack of chemistry between Gary and Ron (after a decade and a half!) made the scoreless game boring so I turned it off in the 8th.
I just watched the highlights and it seems like it was a fun 9th.
That said, no regrets. The game was boring, and I just saw the highlights. This is the part that the baseball mafia doesn’t understand – you are losing the ME crowd. Didn’t care, don’t care. Seems like it was fun, but I bet lots of things were fun yesterday I chose random Youtube videos over your billion dollar project.
On the other hand, you may have noticed that my college age son was watching. You know what has that generation watching? They bet on sports. So it looks like the sport has that right – gambling is the future.
Anyway MLB, I enjoyed my Youtube videos and had a nice sleep. Thanks for the highlight reel!
