So far we’ve discussed….
How Steve Cohen seems to want to be George Steinbrenner, who would recycle managers….
….and how the manager is going to have to do whatever Former Wilpons Intern David Stearns says (aka a Patsy)…
.That ruled out Bobby V and Wally…..but what about Terry Collins, who it turned out was NOT Colactus: Destroyer of Teams. I mentioned how what Steve needs is someone who will avoid controversies, can handle the media, and doesn’t have any scandals. Why not return to Terry Collins? He’s still around, and is a Met In Good Standing.
Well, he’s 74 now, and the Mets are always about the New Culture. Former Wilpons Intern David Stearns wasn’t even born yet when Terry was managing the Mets (someone factcheck that, it seems off) so he probably isn’t familiar with him.
And and and, let’s not forget Terry was at the helm when you all got high on the idea of a Nohan t-shirt and let the ace throw 217 pitches (someone fact check that too) – which as you know, had nothing to do with Santana’s career being wrecked….THAT was because he rolled his ankle two weeks later, or so I am told.
Anyway, will Terry Collins manage the Mets? No.
