Carlos Mendoza is UNTOUCHABLE even if Cohen, Stearns, the beat & the Mets don’t yet realize it

What Carlos Mendoza might look like in an alternate powder blue Mets road uniform.

Congratulations to next Mets manager Carlos Mendoza on being untouchable.

Absolutely untouchable.

Here’s why?

Steve can’t fire him.  Stearns can’t fire him.

Why not?

Is Steve going to tell his customers – ya know, I was wrong about all these GMs, and I keep getting the manager wrong, but this new guy to replace Carlos (probably Joe Maddon, since the Mets will want an experienced veteran next time) – this new guy, HE is the right choice.

Can’t do it.

Carlos can lose 110 games this year and as long as he isn’t caught with the wife of one of the beat reporters, he’s likely safe.  (Here at Mets Police we strong believe Mr. Mendoza would never do such a thing, it’s just an illustration of what it might take).

110 losses – hey it’s part of the process.  New culture.  Boy, Buck and Billy Eppler really set us back but blah blah…..

UNTOUCHABLE.

Carlos should use his powers for good.  He can tell people to buzz off.  He doesn’t have to play nice with the media.   Or even David Stearns.  Is Stearns going to tell Steve – hey I blew it on manager twice already.

Play whoever YOU want Carlos…you’re untouchable

In other news, did you see the Wax Job that John Heyman gave David Stearns?  Jeez…

The headline: David Stearns already making strong first impression with MetsI

I’m sorry….WHAT?

What impression….that his Brewer-Bro played him and now Stearns has to pretend he wanted Carlos Mendoza?   Steve has to act like he fired Buck to bring in Carlos Mendoza?

Can we maybe not put Stearns in the Mets HOF yet?  At least not before we put in JOHN Stearns.

The article even says of the Former Wilpons Intern:  One agent even said he seems “like a new man.”

OK Jon, you can have access to the new boss.   Congrats.  Sheesh.
