One of the most underrated players in the game’s history, Frank Robinson was an offensive force in both leagues. When the Reds thought he was on the decline and traded him to the Orioles in 1966, Robinson proved them wrong not just by winning his 2nd MVP, but also becoming the first player to win the Triple Crown since Mickey Mantle in 1957.
In his career, Robinson won the Rookie of the Year, 2 MVPs, an All Star MVP, a World Series MVP, and was an All-Star 14 times. When his playing days were over, he would go on to be the first African-American manager in baseball (in 1975), and later would win Manager of the Year (in 1989).
Frank Robinson is an Immortal.
