If you aren’t hip to the #VoteMarkakis joke that I regularly use, here is its strange origin. Many years ago those losers the Mets shared the image below where they, with a straight face, were suggesting people like Mike Baxter should be on the All Star team. LOL.
Anyway, look at the list carefully and you will see that the Mets included Nick Markakis. I guess even the Mets couldn’t make a complete list without voting for someone from another team. Anyway, all these years later, it’s a great joke.
